Tonight's Dinner: Chicken Teryaki

After being stuck at home for the last 14 months, I was able to rekindle my love for cooking and baking. I have once again opened my cookbooks and food journals, to try and whip new recipes to serve to my kids and husband. Tonight I cooked Chicken Teryaki for dinner. And I am so happy that my family loved it.

Below is the recipe for my Chicken Teryaki:

Ingredients
🥄1 lb chicken breast (or your preferred chicken parts)
🥄2 tbsp sake
🥄5 tbsp soy sauce
🥄3 tbsp mirin
🥄2 tbsp brown sugar
🥄2 tsp sesame seeds toasted

Instructions
🥄Combine sake, mirin, soy sauce, and brown sugar in a bowl or freezer bag then mix well.
🥄Add the chicken and marinate for at least 45 minutes
🥄Grill or fry the chicken (until both sides are cooked). Set aside.
🥄Heat the remaining marinade in a sauce
🥄Add soy sauce and sugar and a little water if needed. Boil for at least 5 minutes until sauce thickens a bit.
🥄In a serving dish, arrange the chicken and pour the Teriyaki Sauce on top.
🥄Garnish with sesame seeds.

🍽️Serve with white rice.
Enjoy 🍚🥄☺️
