After being stuck at home for the last 14 months, I was able to rekindle my love for cooking and baking. I have once again opened my cookbooks and food journals, to try and whip new recipes to serve to my kids and husband. Tonight I cooked Chicken Teryaki for dinner. And I am so happy that my family loved it.
Below is the recipe for my Chicken Teryaki:
Ingredients1 lb chicken breast (or your preferred chicken parts)
2 tbsp sake
5 tbsp soy sauce
3 tbsp mirin
2 tbsp brown sugar
2 tsp sesame seeds toasted
InstructionsCombine sake, mirin, soy sauce, and brown sugar in a bowl or freezer bag then mix well.
Add the chicken and marinate for at least 45 minutes
Grill or fry the chicken (until both sides are cooked). Set aside.
Heat the remaining marinade in a sauce
Add soy sauce and sugar and a little water if needed. Boil for at least 5 minutes until sauce thickens a bit.
In a serving dish, arrange the chicken and pour the Teriyaki Sauce on top.
Garnish with sesame seeds.
Serve with white rice.
Enjoy
